US contractors have confessed to firing live ammunition at Palestinian civilians during humanitarian aid operations in Gaza, exposing the deadly militarization of aid and drawing condemnation from international organizations.

In a shocking revelation that underscores the catastrophic consequences of militarized aid, US security contractors deployed to Gaza have admitted to firing live ammunition, stun grenades, and pepper spray at Palestinian civilians desperately seeking food and supplies.

These confessions, corroborated by video evidence and eyewitness accounts, have ignited global outrage and renewed calls for accountability from organizations and international human rights advocates.

Testimonies from US contractors, who spoke anonymously for fear of retaliation, paint a grim picture of chaos and impunity at aid distribution centers. Security personnel, often unqualified and lacking proper background checks, reportedly operate with “absolute freedom and without supervision.”

According to one contractor, “There are innocent people being hurt. Badly. Needlessly.” The use of live ammunition and crowd-control weapons has become routine, even in the absence of any security threat.

The violence is not limited to private contractors. Reports from left-wing media and human rights groups indicate that Israeli soldiers have been ordered to fire “in all directions,” targeting unarmed Palestinians at food distribution sites.

Haaretz and Democracy Now! have documented that Israeli forces were instructed to shoot at crowds, resulting in hundreds of deaths since May 2025. Videos released by contractors show Palestinians crowded behind metal gates, ducking for cover as gunfire and stun grenades erupt around them.

The so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Mission,” coordinated by the United States and Israel, has been condemned by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and organizations such as Doctors Without Borders.

These groups argue that the operation is a militarized mechanism devoid of humanitarian principles, turning aid logistics into a “death trap” where food is delivered under crossfire. OCHA spokesperson Jens Laerke warned that the plan “exposes thousands, thousands of people to harm” and sets a dangerous precedent for global humanitarian efforts.

Since October 2023, more than 56,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in Gaza, according to local and UN medical data. The blockade and ongoing attacks have created catastrophic living conditions, with the humanitarian collapse deepening as aid distribution itself becomes a scene of violence and death.

The confessions of US contractors firing on Palestinian civilians at Gaza aid distribution centers have exposed the deadly consequences of outsourcing humanitarian operations to armed private actors.

Left-wing observers and international organizations warn that the militarization of aid not only violates international law but also perpetuates a cycle of violence and impunity, deepening the suffering of Gaza’s most vulnerable. The urgent need for accountability and a return to genuine humanitarian principles has never been clearer.
